MRS ELIXIRS ESSENCE & EXTRACTS STORY
It all began with a book falling in front of me at a op shop over in the southern highlands . The book was full of beauty product recipes. l loved it and began making different products . I quickly realised that l loved how they made me feel , they were better then what l was using. Being a Beauty Therapist for 30 years and always dabbling in making different concoctions over the years, l had an idea to start making and using them on my clients, l got bussier through just ” word of mouth” and just maybe my products were REALLY GOOD !! l immersed myself in all aspects involved from sourcing raw products locally to packing to labelling, getting all the equipment I needed, joined forums for recipe & problem solving , spent countless hours on the computer and stayed up most nights studying, formulations, recipes, essential oils blends. I wanted people to know exactly what they were applying and recognised the ingredients,be cost effective, simple and easy to use and gave good results and lastly made you feel like you were in heaven using them. They are organic, natural plant and food based as nature intended and something about that makes you feel wholesome.

Every ingredient is considered when being added to products. Sourced locally and some as close as my home. Every product starts with a base and from there flowers, berries, seed, bark extracts and vitamins are added then enhanced with pure 100% therapeutic essential oils all with a purpose .
Pure Essential Oils
I have a few l like to use Plant therapy, Mountain Rose Herbs, New Directions are the main. All my products contain essential oils and these navigate specific needs and purpose in all my products. With anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and soothing properties for skin concerns.Importantly they also place us into a more spiritual state.
Spices
Love using spices like cardamon, cinnamon, tumeric and cloves. Spices excites me!! I think of my visit to a fijian marketplace and the aromas and colours were just vibrant and brilliant, the aromas instilled and I love playing and being adventurous with them in my soaps, bath bombs, lotion bars, and scrubs.
Flowers
Flowers and herbs play a big part in my products . Lavender, roses, jasmine, blue cornflower, rosemary, chamomile, basil, eucalyptus, bluegum are my favourites. I use a lot from my own garden. Crushed, grinded, boiled, distilled. When it comes to packing wild flowers are scattered in the boxes and a small bouquet is on the bag or box.
Oils & Butters
Oils and butters are essential in the making of all my products, they are the foundation base of all products. Shea butter is in 99% of the products as is cacao butter and macadamia, olive, advocado, and mango butters . Coconut oil, sweet almond, advocado oil, rosehip oil, peach kernel oil, hemp oil, macadamia are next inline . My main raw bulk suppliers for all raw ingredients are sourced locally between Nowra to Sydney .
Beeswax
Beeswax is used in a lot of my products . Im big on lotion bars so thats 1/3 a bar of beeswax there! and I get mine from a supplier on the south coast. Brillant in protecting and coating your skin, its a humectant meaning it attracts water and is a natural exfoliator. Beeswax will soften, attract water, hold in water, heal , exfoliate and protect.
